Cold Liquids

Hydra-Cell® can operate at temperatures below zero degrees centigrade.

Temperatures can affect the physical properties of the process liquid, in extreme cold conditions this makes the liquid more difficult to pump; this is generally due to increasing viscosity.

Hydra-Cell® pumps are widely used indoors and out on many applications where ambient temperatures are sub-zero. Jacket trace heating or other measures are sometimes employed to protect pumps and keep the system running smoothly. A wide range of materials of construction and careful selection result in reliable performance enabling Hydra-Cell pumps to operate at temperatures well below zero.
